UK Futsal Tournament 2010 006.JPG

General Company Description

UK futsal has been using street soccer to develop young players since 2008. We have had great success in combining the sport with outdoor play to nurture creatively skilled players. Futsal is a format of five-a-side football that is played extensively throughout the world. The term ‘Futsal’ is an abbreviation of the Portuguese ‘futebol de salão’ or the Spanish ‘futbol sala’, both of which translated literally mean ‘indoor football’. It is played on a pitch approximately the size of a basketball or netball court with a ball which is smaller and heavier than the outdoor football and has a reduced bounce.
The ball forces a player to use their skill rather than the ball’s bounce to propel it. As a small sided game, players are constantly placed in situations where they must receive or play whilst under pressure or in confined spaces.
At the heart of Futsal is the smaller and reduced bounce ball. Pace, skill, teamwork and high drama characterize the indoor game while developing close individual ball skills and control. UK Futsal aim is to provide development training, community league structure, Our goal is to promote Futsal to a wider audience 6-18 year old, we will have local ,regional and national tournament, to support the development of  regional League programme and to support the interest and the participation at the grassroots level,

  •   To promote Futsal to young people encouraging by promoting the sport to schools, college & University and football clubs throughout the South West/East, encouraging local clubs to use Futsal to develop the sport and for schools to adopt the game as part of their curriculum. Facilitating new Futsal leagues, organise Futsal competitions, and fund raising events.

We believe our project will give Futsal an excellent opportunity to increase the number of young people participating through increased exposure on a regional, national and international Futsal level. The staff team will be fluent in several languages, including Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and French. Over sea visitors  join our leagues. We believe it is important to remain an active member of the community Futsal leagues; we will impact people's lives in more ways than deriving a profit from them. We will achieve this by hosting community tournaments that bring out the best in young people. We will be the region's destination for those who want to know all there is to know about rock Futsal, gear, rules, training and events. The future of Futsal in the UK will be determined by how we show our level of commitment. al it has long been the key to Brazil's dominance of world football, with superstars Ronaldo, Pelé and Ronaldinho all attributing their dazzlings skills to playing Futsal. Other footballing greats such as Johan Cruyff and Michael Owen have used Futsal to
develop their flair, touch and amazing skills.

Market Place

The Market Futsal is currently one of the fastest growing indoor sports in the world, played by an estimated 30 million people globally, and is the only small-sided football format to be officially recognised by UEFA and FIFA. Futsal is a relatively new concept in the UK, but is rapidly gaining momentum, with Sport England forecasting a 300-400% growth rate in the uptake of informal ‘small-sided football’. The sport is also gaining recognition amongst major sports brands and Nike has already agreed to an exclusive deal with @Futsal to sell clothing in the arenas. Futsal is played throughout the world by an estimated 25 million players its rules sanctioned by FIFA.  Italy is estimated to have 4 million Futsal players compared to 1 million full sided players.  Futsal is the No1 game in Portuguese schools and Universities.  Japan has over 300.000 players and is struggling to match facilities to players.
